Strength Training for the Youth Athlete

Level 1: Foundation Focuses on fundamental movement patterns, balance, and coordination. Athletes will develop body awareness through basic bodyweight exercises, agility drills, and flexibility training. Level 2: Strength Building Introduces resistance exercises using bands, sliders, bodyweight and parallettes. The focus is on building overall strength, improving posture, and enhancing muscular endurance. Level 3: Power & Speed Emphasizes strength movements lwith bodyweight, dumbbells and kettlebells. Level 4: Sport-Specific Skills For an athlete of any sport, this level refines skills like agility, strength, and coordination specific to their needs. Level 5: Peak Performance Combines all elements to optimize performance. Athletes undergo advanced training techniques to ensure they're competition-ready, with a focus on recovery and injury prevention.

Gary is a unique blend of a Certified Personal Trainer, Licensed Massage Therapist, Movement Specialist and Stretch Therapist. Using different modalities to help clients with pain management, movement patterns, and their fitness goals. A bodywork therapist who performs FOCUS work for lower back and hip pain, neck and shoulder dysfunction, forearm, hand, hamstring and lower leg pain, he works not only to relive pain but also find the cause for dysfunction. Using a detailed assessment before treatment and the use of Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Cupping Therapy and IASTM during your session to assist in better movement and pain management. Gary treats many local Middle School, High School and College Athletes for not only injury or discomfort but also RECOVERY for athletics such as Baseball, Basketball, Football and Track. Being a Certified Trainer and Kettlebell Coach in the Mohawk Movement Gym, his style of Kettlebell Training mixed with Calisthenics and Barbell Lifts delivers performance on the field and everyday living. Leaving you STRONG, LEAN, ATHLETIC and RIPPED.
